HAIGHT, Charles Daniel was born January 18, 1819 in Aurora, Cayuga County, New York the son of Daniel Haight and Ruth Mosher. He married Esther C. Skinner January 28, 1841 in New York. From this union four children were born, Ida (John Henry Batten), Elizabeth, Emma and Milton Skinner. He was employed as a merchant. He served in Company I of the 2nd Illinois Light Artillery during the Civil War and also served as the Secretary of Asboth Military Chapter. He was raised a Master Mason November 22, 1847 in Scipio Lodge No. 110, Aurora, New York, and affiliated with Euclid Lodge June 26, 1855. He served Euclid Lodge as Senior Warden in 1857 and 1866, as Treasurer in 1858 and 1859 and as Junior Steward in 1861. He affiliated with Euclid Chapter No. 13, R. A. M. on June 8, 1855 from Aurora Chapter No. 64, Aurora, New York and served as High Priest in 1860. He died December 29, 1868 in Naperville, DuPage County, Illinois and was buried in the Naperville Cemetery.
