Eugene (Gene) Hagemeyer was born in the Bronx, New York City, the son of Eugene Robert Hagemeyer. Sr., and Gladys Urna Stahl Hagemeyer. He married Roselie Risinger on November 19, 1945, at St. David's Episcopal Church in Austin, Texas, and they were the parents of Suzanne and Priscilla Hagemeyer.
Gene Hagemeyer loved the outdoors and was happy to be fishing, or hiking in the Catskills; he liked watching the Yankees, Giants and Cowboys play ball; and he was a proud veteran of World War II having served in the U. S. Army and was present at the "Battle of the Bulge".
