Deborah Irenita Hacking Brunner passed away August 26, 2013, at home in Edmond, OK, in the loving arms of her husband, surrounded by loved ones, after a courageous battle with Breast Cancer.

Born May 10, 1954 in Vernal, Utah to Milton "Cork" Corwin and Frances Pehacek Hacking, Deborah grew up using the nickname "Nita". Irenita was a name given by her mother after a favorite Catholic school nun. She graduated from Uintah High School in 1972, and married Jay D Henline September 7, 1973, in the St. James Catholic Church. Together they raised two sons, Michael Greg Henline and Garth J Henline. Jay died October 25, 1994. Nita then married Kenneth Brunner March 1, 2002 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Her family was her life; Nita was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughter. Raising her sons she spent a lot of time on the sidelines watching them play their sports and loving every minute. She loved working in her yard and caring for her home. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed sewing and quilting. She loved to travel and see new places. She loved playing the slot machines, be it in Las Vegas or Oklahoma. Ken often teased her that it was her job. She was a big sports fan, especially football, cheering on the Oakland Raiders, even in the losing years. She came to love NASCAR with her husband Ken, traveling to Las Vegas every year to root for her favorite driver Kevin Harvick and play the slots. Nita loved life and lived it to the fullest. She always had a positive attitude and a kind heart.

Nita's family loved her so much and she will be greatly missed by all.

Nita is survived by her husband Ken of Edmond, OK, her sons Greg (Angie) and Garth (Tammy), her grandkids Kayden, Alexis, Courtney, Jagger, Sierra, Donovan, Joshua, and Kage all of Vernal. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters; Mike (Karen) Hacking, Dan (Konni) Hacking, Mary Hacking, Randy Hacking, all of Vernal, and Angi (Danny) Norris of Green River, WY. Also several nieces and nephews that she was very close with.

Nita was preceded in death by her husband Jay, her parents Cork and Frances, and her youngest brother Don.

A funeral mass was held on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 9AM at the St. James Catholic Church. A Rosary was held from 6~8PM Friday at the Church. Burial was in the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of the Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
