Mrs. Hackett Death Victim
Mrs. George (Cora) Hackett, 79, 120 Locust, died Tuesday at a Walla Walla hospital after an extended illness.
She was born Cora Claytor Jan. 11, 1878 in Kansas. She became Mrs. George A. Hackett at Sedalia, Mo., Aug 20, 1898. They moved to Walla Walla in 1900 where Hackett became associated with the Post Office.
Mrs. Hackett was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Naomi Circle of the church, Lady Elks, Walla Walla Country Club, Golden Sheaf Court No. 60 Order of the Amaranth, El Karnak Temple No. 6, Daughters of the Nile of Spokane, and El Karnak Club No. 3 and the Daughters of the Nile of Walla Walla.
She is survived by her husband George A Hackett and a daughter, Mrs. Ralph G. (Marion H.) Devlin of Pullman.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday in the chapel of a local funeral home. Concluding services and interment will be held at the Masonic Cemetery.
