She was born in Cleveland on July 22, 1921, to Paul and Lillian (nee Gerhan) Hackbarth. Marie worked for Grabowski Music Co. as a Bookkeeper. She enjoyed bowling, was an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns fan and liked watching TV, especially QVC shopping network. She enjoyed playing her favorite music on her organ and spent time relaxing while knitting, crocheting and sewing. Marie was a true dog lover and loved traveling the country.
She leaves behind her son, Richard (Connie); daughter, Donna (John) Walter; grandchildren, Rikk (Hilary), Noelle (Dave), Carolle (Steven), Todd (Becky) and John J.; and great-grandchildren, Seth, Brianna and Nicholas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester, in 2007; parents; and brother, William Hackbarth.
Service: 4 p.m. Sunday at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina. The Rev. Terry Dusky-Kistler will officiate.
