Priscilla Behnke, 94, formerly of Fort Worth, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, April 16, 2008, with her daughter by her side.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Ronald Heimsoth officiating. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park.
Memorials: In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established to benefit American Heart Association, in care of the Priscilla Behnke Memorial Fund, 2774 Baylite Dr., Green Bay, Wis. 54313.
Priscilla was born Sept. 4, 1913, in Wausau, Wis., to Charles and Anna Hamann Hackbarth. She married Norman Behnke. She attended adult education classes at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. Priscilla was a supportive mother, always taking time to be at her daughter's sporting events. She was active with the parent-teacher organization and was a strong advocate for her daughter's continuing education. Priscilla enjoyed going for walks, gardening and reading. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Worth for over 50 years where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school and being a part of the Ladies Circle. Upon moving to the Green Bay area she joined Trinity Lutheran Church. Throughout Priscilla's life she had a strong confidence in God that gave her the strength to help others.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norman Behnke; brothers and sisters.
Survivors: Daughter, Susan Behnke of Green Bay, Wis.; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
