Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late B. Clarence and Ruth Knighton Gwinn. Mrs. Baughcome graduated from Simpsonville High School and Draughon's Business College. She retired from Contel Telephone Company after thirty years of service, and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Rufus Glenn Sunday School Class.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, of the home, are a daughter, Jeanie Sue Hamby, of Simpsonville; and two grandchildren, Holly Hamby and Ted Hamby, and their father, Dan Hamby.
