He was a native of Saline County,Mo., born Jan.6,1874, to the late Barton S. and Mary Houts Guyer. He came to Pine Bluff as a child and attended Jefferson County schools.
On Dec.12,1918, he was married in Pine Bluff to the former Cecelia Winter.
In addition to his wife, survivors include one daughter, Mrs.Marjorie Spears of Pine Bluff, two brothers, Joe Guyer of Pine Bluff and Alfred Guyer of Bell Gardens,Cal.; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at South Funeral Home by the Rev.E.A.Richmond, chaplin at the Boys Industrial School. Burial will be in the Hardin Cemetery.
