BOWIE- Nola Lucille Ball, 74, died May 9, 2010 in Bowie.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. May 11 at The White Family Funeral Home. Funeral service was at 2 p.m. May 12 at the First Baptist Church in Montague with Benny Slack officiating. Burial followed at Montague Cemetery.
Ball was born Jan. 17, 1936 in Montague, TX to Clifton and Lucy (Stover) Guilliams. She worked as a nurse at the Bowie Convalescent Home, Bellmire Healthcare and Bowie Memorial Hospital for many years. She married L.D. Ball on Dec. 5, 1985 in Bowie.
She was a very caring person who was devoted to her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed family get-togethers and spent time quilting, embroidering and coloring with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Lucy Guilliams; two daughters, Debra Kay Jackson and Vicki Ruth Beverage; and two brothers, Wayne Guilliams and James Guilliams.
She is survived by her husband, L.D. Ball Jr., Bowie; children, Mike Davis, Montague; Connie Thomas and Tommy Davis, both of Bowie; sister, Mary Francis Wells, Montague; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Carolyn Guilliams McEwen, Montague; aunt, Mary Stover, Pittsburg, TX.
