Ms. Bourque, born October 22, 1919, was a native of Carencro and was a resident of Cankton for most of her life. She was a 1935 graduate of Carencro High School. She retired from Trappey's Cannery in Lafayette in 1985. Ms. Bourque was a parishioner of St. John Berchman in Cankton and a member of the St. Anne Society.
Survivors include two sons, Patrick Bourque of Houston, TX, Neal Bourque of Pinecrest, LA; four daughters, Linda Courvelle and her husband, Gerald, of Sunset, Cynthia Beasley and her husband, Troy, of Roatan, Honduras, Debra Olds of Cankton, and Phyllis Pennino and her husband, Jim, of Conyers, GA; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; three brothers, Wilbern Guilbeau and his wife, Beulah, of Carencro, Argie Guilbeau of Jennings, LA, and Olan Guilbeau and his wife, Macklin, of Carencro; and two sisters, Alma G. Boss of Lafayette and Juanita G. Mangano and her husband, John, of Franklin, LA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Weston Bourque; one son, Carroll Bourque; her parents, Placide Guilbeau and the former Anaise Mathieu; and one brother, Harold Guilbeau.
Interment will be in St. Peter Catholic Mausoleum in Carencro. Melancon Funeral Home of Carencro, 4615 North University Avenue, is in charge of arrangements.
