Josefa G. Castillo, age 85, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014 at St. Margaret Hospital in Dyer, IN. She was born February 9, 1929 in Laredo, TX. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Faustino S. Castillo and daughter, Asenat. Josefa is survived by her loving six children: Faustino (Rose) Castillo, Noemi Castillo, Ruth (Tony) Morales, Joe Castillo, Sara (Tomas) Mendoza and Peter (Monica U.) Castillo; three sisters, two brothers, 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; several other loving family members and friends. Josefa was a good wife, mother, grandmother and wonderful great grandmother. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God and a resident of East Chicago for over 60 years. Visitation will be Monday, October 6, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Main Chapel at the Ridgelawn Funeral Home, 4201 West Ridge Road, Gary, IN 46408. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Main Chapel at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Ridgelawn Cemetery in Gary, IN. Josefa will be deeply missed by her loving and devoted family and precious friends.
