Beth Grover Herbert Bonnenberg, 82, of Idaho Falls, passed away Monday, June 25, 2012, in Idaho Falls.

Beth was born Oct. 8, 1929, in Sugar City, Idaho, to Leo Thomas Grover and Lizzie Leone Wilding Grover.

Beth lived in various towns in Idaho during her youth, finally moving to Mapleton, Utah, where she met Bob Herbert. They were married in Elko, Nev., on July 31, 1948. Four children were born to this union. They spent 24 years in the Navy living in naval stations throughout the U.S. and retiring in Idaho Falls, where they later divorced.

She married Rudolph W. Bonnenberg in 1982 in Idaho Falls. They lived in Saudi Arabia for several years, and both worked at INL until retirement.

After they retired, Rudy and Beth loved to live in Mexico for six months during the winter and for six months in Idaho Falls for the summer.

Beth graduated from Grosmont High School in El Cajon, Calif. She graduated from Eastern Idaho Technical College as a health physicist.

She enjoyed painting all her life and later became proficient in making stained-glass windows. She was a league pool player and loved horses, dogs and traveling the world. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

When she was stricken with Alzheimer's, she moved to Syringa Chalet in Blackfoot. Special thanks to the staff at Syringa Chalet for the kindness and care that was given to Beth. Thanks are also given to Good Samaritans in Idaho Falls, where she passed away.

She is survived by her children, Launnie McQueen of Park City, Utah, Leo (Connie) Herbert of Idaho Falls, Tom (Kathy) Herbert of Oak City, Utah, and DeDe Herbert of Providence, R.I.; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Wood of Leeds, Utah; and two brothers, Joe Grover of Sacramento, Calif., and Hart Grover of Idaho Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Robert Davis Herbert; her second husband, Rudolph (Rudy) Wilhelm Bonnenberg; a sister, Leone Norse; and brothers, Ben Grover and Elmo Grover.

Funeral services will be at noon Saturday, June 30, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Saturday prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Sugar City Cemetery.
