Arline Clara Gross, age 88 of St Peter, died Friday, September 28, 2012 at Mayo Clinic Health System-Mankato.

Arline Clara was born June 5, 1924 to Joe and Clara (Heyn) Kessler in St Peter.

She was baptized and confirmed at St Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church. Arline graduated from St Peter High School in 1942 and then clerked at various stores in St. Peter. She also worked in the office at the Community Hospital in St. Peter for about four years. For 23 years, Arline worked as a paraprofessional in the library at Gustavus College. On June 24, 1944, she was united in marriage to James Gross at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church. They were blessed with their daughter, Sandra Jo. Arline lived her entire life on the same street (Broadway) in St Peter. She enjoyed knitting, handwork, cooking and baking.

Arline is survived by her sister, four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, son-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins [survivors names omitted].

Arline was preceded in death by her husband, Jim in 1969; her daughter, Sandra Jo Annexstad in 1993; 2 infant sisters: Iris Ann and Beverly Ann (who was a twin to Barbara); brother: Roger Kessler; and her parents.
