The funeral for Callie Lou Griswold, 87, of Athens will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Spry Funeral Home with Dan Hughes and Daniel Metcalf officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Griswold died Sunday, January 13, 2013, at the Parkway Medical Center in Decatur. Callie Griswold was born October 27, 1925, in Limestone County. She was a homemaker and member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Athens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Thomas Griswold; son, Joe Griswold; infant son, Stephen Griswold; daughter, Angela Griswold; and infant daughter, Hope Griswold.
Survivors include daughters, Kay Green of Athens and Paulette Bremer of Houston; sons, Tim Griswold of Athens and Tom Griswold of Augusta, GA; sister, Lena May Flanagan of Michigan; grandchildren, Brandon Griswold, Tyler Varnagatas and Stephanie Green, all of Athens, Justin Griswold and Stacey Dorn, both of Atlanta, Lance Bremer of Houston, and Kim Ling of Oxford, Miss.; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
