Blanche V. Grissinger, 89, formerly of Huntingdon, died unexpectedly Thursday, July 3, at the Woodland Retirement Community, Orbisonia.

Born May 13, 1925, in Three Springs, she was a daughter of the late Ira and Lillie Mae (Rupert) Grissinger.

Ms. Grissinger is survived by a daughter, Gloria Hamman and husband, Edwin, of Winter Springs, Florida; a granddaughter, Linda Hensley and husband, Jack, of Switzerland; and a great-great granddaughter, Brittany Caldwell of Nashville, TN. She is also survived by her siblings, Ellen Naugle of Hares Valley Road, Mapleton; Harold Grissinger and wife, Ella Mae of Levittown; Erma Baer of NC, and Beatrice Sandsmark of South Bend, IN. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Bumgardner and Rella Blair; a brother, Irvin Grissinger; and a brother who died in infancy.

Ms. Grissinger was a member of the Calvary Independent Baptist Church, Huntingdon.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, July 7, at the Robert I. Mcclain Funeral Home, 245 Seminary St., Cassville, with the Rev. Thomas Coleman officiating. Interment will be made in the Cherry Grove Cemetery, Three Springs, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service Monday.
