GRIGSBY, Deborah King Passed away gently on August 28, 2006 at her home in Sonoma, after a 4 year courageous battle against ovarian cancer. Throughout her illness, she was cared for lovingly by her friends and St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, where she was a member. Debbie was born in Alameda, CA on October 1, 1961 to the parents of Walter Richard King and Selma Lane King. She was a graduate of Sonoma High School, Class of 1980. Debbie was employed by Albertson's in Sonoma for 14 years and worked as a care giver for the elderly at the Schultz Home. Debbie's hobbies included photography, scrap booking, skiing, and knitting, and volunteering for St. Andrew Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon. Family and friends will remember Debbie's incredible endurance throughout her illness, her love of witnessing and compassion for Christ, the pride of motherhood and the unspeakable love and joy for her daughter, Trisha Seelye. Debbie is preceded in death by her father (Walter Richard King) and is survived by her 15 year old daughter, Trisha Viola Seelye of Sonoma, and her mother Selma Lane king. Trisha will be lovingly cared for by her Godparents Patrick and Deborah Ingram. A private Graveside Service was held Thursday, August 31, 2006 at Valley Cemetery, Sonoma, CA. Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of her life on Friday, September 1, 2006 at 4:00pm, at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 16290 Arnold Drive, Sonoma, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Deborah Grigsby, Ovarian Cancer Fund, St. Andrew Presbyterian Church or to the Trisia Seelye Trust Fund also in care of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 16290 Arnold Drive, Sonoma, CA 95476.
