Heather L. (Griffiths) Baker, age 35, died on Monday, March 8, 2010 at 10:08 pm at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, with her family by her side after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was the loving wife of Donald F. Baker III; together they shared over 9 years of marriage.

A Funeral Mass in celebration of her life will be held on Friday at 2:30 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2125 Grandview Rd., Hanover PA 17331. She will be laid to rest at Marburg Memorial Gardens following the Mass. A visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6-9 PM at Irwin-Beck Funeral Home and Cremation Service, PC, 175 N. Main St. Spring Grove PA 17362 and on Friday from 1:00 – 2:30 pm in the Narthex of St. Joseph church.

Heather was born in Ephrata, PA. She resided in Hanover for over 25 years prior to moving to Spring Grove. She graduated from South Western High School Class of 1993. She then earned a degree in Elementary Education from East Stroudsburg University. She taught 1st grade at Paradise Elementary School in the Spring Grove School District. She was also a Silpada Jewelry Representative.

In addition to her husband, Donald, she is survived by her children Treytyn, Gracie and Jarod; her parents R. Theodore Griffiths Sr. and Barbara L (Henry) Griffiths of Hanover; her brother R. Theodore Griffiths Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Seven Valleys; her sister Haley Smith and many nieces and nephews.
