Adela Durán, age 77, born on December 28, 1938 in Santa Fe, NM and a current resident of Rio Rancho, NM, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016.
Adela is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Joe Durán, children, Jim Durán, Barbara Urioste and her husband, Ruben and Sam Durán and his wife, Sarah, nineteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, brother, Frank Griego and his wife, Carmen, sister, Betty Griego and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Adela was preceded in death by a daughter, Yvonne Márquez, son, Ralph Durán, grandson, Keith Crespín and her parents, Frank and Senaida Griego.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at the Riverside Funeral Home of Albuquerque Chapel, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho, NM, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the San Miguel Catholic Cemetery in Rivera, NM. Pallbearers will be Sammy Durán, Steven Durán, Paul Urioste, Kenny Márquez, Kevin Márquez and James Durán.
