Isabel Griego, age 93, a resident of Belén, NM passed away on Friday, July 27, 2007.
Isabel was a member of Our Lady of Belén Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America and Blessed Sacrament Society.
Isabel and her husband, Pat owned and operated Pat's Grocery Store for more than 30 years.
Isabel was preceded in death by her parents, Rosalio and María Castillo Sánchez, husband, Pat, son, Larry, who passed as a child, sisters, Casimira López, Mary Gabaldón, Esther Sánchez and brother, Placido Sánchez.
Isabel is survived by her loving children, Rudolph Griego and his wife, Rose of Phoenix, AZ, David Griego and his wife, Adela of Belén, Cecilia Baker and her husband, Ken of Los Lunas, Lynda Yeager and her husband, Joe of Independence, MO, grandchildren, Patricia Griego, David Griego, Paulette Jaramillo, Rena Córdova, Jason Dietz, Monica Ward and Jeff Gibson, seven great-grandchildren, her sisters, Lily Silva and her husband, Lincoln of Albuquerque, Ann Wolf and her husband, Clarence of Albuquerque, Delfina Bray of California, sister-in-law, Ida Sánchez of Phoenix, brother-in-law, Eddie Sánchez of Albuquerque, many nieces and nephews and a special friend, Olivia Hernández and Karen.
A public viewing will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, July 30, 2007 at 5:30 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. A final visitation will be held at Our Lady of Belén Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at 8:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belén Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be David Griego, Jason Dietz, Jeff Gibson, Daryl Córdova, Joseph Jaramillo and Matt Ward.
