Mary Black, 98, of 2391 Russell Springs Road, Columbia, KY, died Thursday, July 10, 2003 at 10:57 a.m. at Summitt Manor Nursing Home. She was the daughter of the late Marmaduke and Amanda Leach Grider, the widow of Asa Black and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Bill Cox of Columbia; one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Wanda Black of Muncie, IN; three grandchildren, Patrick Black of Indianapolis, IN, John and Jason Cox of Columbia; and two great grandchildren, Tyler and Trevor Black.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 12, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Carlie Riggs officiating. Burial in the Haven Hill Cemetery. Grissom Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casket Bearers: John Cox, Jason Cox, Patrick Black, Charlie Cox, Danny Buchanan, and David Martin.
