CLEVELAND — A 21-year-old Cleveland man was fatally shot about 10:20 p.m. Monday on the city's East Side.
Police said he was shot in the chest during a shootout with an 18-year-old at Force Avenue and Warner Road. The victim was identified as Darrell Gray, of the 3800 block of East 143rd Street. He died at MetroHealth Medical Center.
The two were arguing and both pulled out guns. Gray was riding a bicycle in the street and shot his assailant in the elbow. The suspect was treated at MetroHealth and released to police for questioning. He was arrested.
Officers have not yet found the guns, police spokeswoman Nancy Dominik said.
