Randy Lee Greenwell, 55, of Boones Creek, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2012, at the Johnson City Medical Center.

He was a born in Carter County but had lived most of his life in Washington County. Randy was a son of the late Bruce and Nell Hagaman Greenwell. His stepmother, Paralee Greenwell, also preceded him in death.

He graduated from Daniel Boone High School and Steed College.

He served in the U.S. Navy and retired from the U.S. Postal Service.

Randy was a member of Boones Creek Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his dog, Buddy.

Survivors include his brother, Steve Greenwell and his wife, Linda; two nieces, Angela and Stephanie Greenwell; several aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Boones Creek Baptist Church, 304 Pickens Bridge Road, Gray, TN 37615.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012, from the Morris-Baker North Chapel. Rev. Kenneth Kyker and Pastor Tony Crossnoe will officiate.

Burial services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Mountain Home National Cemetery. A procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.
