Funeral Services Held Monday For Mary Emma Austin

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Emma Austin of Waco were held at 10 a.m. Monday in Birome Church. Rev. Gorden Ellis officiated with burial in Bold Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Austin died at 11:40 a.m. Saturday in a Waco rest home. She was 89.

Mrs. Austin was born in Mississippi in 1873. She had lived in the Penelope and Hoen community since moving to Texas.

Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Joe J. Podsednik, Rt. 2, West; three sons, Charles Austin of West, Jack Austin of Waco, and Raymond Austin of Birome; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.

Active pallbearers were Fred D. Campbell, Travis Mann, Odell Monthie, Mike Steinocher, Rudolph Anderson and Dewey Baker.
