The funeral service for Stella Edna Greenhaw, 91, of Athens, will be Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 10 a.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel.
Mrs. Greenhaw passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at the Athens-Limestone Hospital.
She was born March 18, 1928 in Limestone County, AL, to John and Lucy Smith.
Mrs. Greenhaw was a member of the First Christian Church of Athens. She served on the Limestone County Board of Registrars.
Mrs. Greenhaw and her husband opened and operated Dubs Burgers in Athens from 1961 until 1983.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Weaver "Dub" Greenhaw; three daughters, Jane Greenhaw Patterson, Barbara Greenhaw Lipham, and Jean Greenhaw Sharpe; two sons, Johnny Greenhaw and Dexter Greenhaw; one brother, Jerrell Smith and one sister, Wynema Southard.
She is survived by one brother, Clinton Smith and wife, Jewell, of Athens; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
