Vernon Green
ARCOLA, Ill. — Funeral services for Vernon Green will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Shrader Funeral Home in Arcola with Rev. John Genn officiating. Burial will be in Arcola Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Green, 69, of Champaign, formerly of Arcola, died at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in his home of an apparent heart attack.
He was born Aug. 30, 1901, in Missouri, the son of James and Minnie Clark Green. He married Beulah Munson of Arcola Sept. 3, 1922. She died May 24, 1966.
Survivors include two sons, Frederick of Champaign and Vernon Jr. of Van Nuys, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Holmes of Springfield; three brothers, Adam of Robinsonville, N.C., William of Princeton, Ind., and James of Indianapolis, Ind.; and 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Green was a retired electrician.
