Geneva Pauline Baker, age 85, of Rockford, passed away Friday, February 21, 2014. She was a member of Hillview Baptist Church. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joys in her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Baker, Sr.; parents, Willie and Frankye Gray; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Gene Paris; brother, Roy Gray; and brother-in-law, Bill Forker.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, David and Anna Savina Baker, Jr. and Kenneth and Linda Baker, Sr.; daughter and son-in-law, Paulette and Todd Robinson; grandchildren and spouses, Kenneth and Conchita Baker, Jr., Melissa and Jason Walker, Stephanie and Jason Welch, Karen Baker, Lindsay Robinson, and Eric Robinson; great-grandchildren, Mary, David, Jackson, Sophia, JosaLynn, Seth, and Alistair; sister, Joy Forker; brothers, and sisters-in-law, Boyd and Helen Gray, Bob and Sheila Gray, and June Fleeger; and several nieces, nephews, and church family.
Funeral service will be held 7:00 PM Monday, February 24, 2014, at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Dane Gray and Kenneth Baker, Jr. officiating. Family and friends will gather 11:00 AM Tuesday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment.
