Edward L. Graves, 52, of Palermo, died Wednesday in Palermo. He was a life resident of the Palermo-Central Square area. He worked as a forklift mechanic for Penn Traffic for over 20 years. He was a National Dragster Member. He was formerly in the Naval Reserves from 1971 - 1977 and the son of Lester and Mary Donahue Graves.
Survivors: his wife Joan M. Kurtz Graves; sons, Edward L. Graves Jr. of Cortland, Lucien E. "Luke" (Jessica) Graves of West Monroe; mother Mary Donohue; father Lester (Flora) Graves; brothers, Frank of Adams Center and Lester Graves of Alaska; sisters, Cathy Butler of Palermo, Colleen Yelle of Sandy Creek, Christine Chudyk of Colorado; grandchildren, Rebecca L., Zackery E. and Lydia L. Graves; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Friends may call Sunday 3 to 7 p.m. at Traub Funeral Home, 684 North Main St., Central Square. His funeral service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial Pleasant Lawn Cemetery, Parish, NY.
