MRS. ROBERTHA BELL
Mrs. Robertha E. Bell, 80, was found dead in her apartment at 1067 ½ Market Street at 6:50 pm Wednesday by her daughter, Mrs. Floyd Brown of 509 Downard Road. Death was believed due to a heart ailment, Dr. S. S. Daw, Muskingum County coroner, was notified.
Mrs. Brown had tried to telephone her mother and, getting no response, went with her husband to investigate. Mrs. Bell had been dead but a short time and was found lying across a bed. She had been in failing health.
Born in Wayne Township, she was a daughter of Frank and Mary Farabee Grapes, and spent her life in this vicinity. She had been a member of the Southern Baptist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Bell are two sons, Charles of East Pike and Grayson of Nevada Street; two daughters, Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Marie Iden of Route 3; eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Lynn of the Lighthizer Rest Home and Mrs. Gertrude Davis of Cleveland.
Her husband, Bert H. Bell, died in August 1947. Also preceding her in death were two daughters, Florence and Grace, and a son, Ralph.
The body is at the Putnam Chapel of Bolin-Bryan Funeral Home where friends may call after 6 pm today.
