William E. Gore Sr., 66, of 1609 Military Ave., died Wednesday [December 30, 1981] at Suburban Hospital. He was a native of Maysville, a retired butcher for the Fischer Packing Co., a World War II Army veteran and member of the Anchorage Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, the former Beulah Pendygraft; a son, William E. Gore Jr.; two brothers, James Gore of Tip City, OH, and Jack Welch of Lexington; and two grandchildren. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Foreman Funeral Home, 10600 Taylorsville Road in Jeffersontown, with burial in Bardstown Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
