Stella J. Barefield, age 97, of Paducah, passed from this life on July 11,2012 at Lourdeds Hospital.
Born in Marshall County Ky, she and her husband of 70 years Calvin Barefield, resided in McCracken County for 65 years. /She was a retired beautician and operated a ceramic shop with a specialty of ceramic dolls.
She was a member of Oaklawn Baptist Church and, for the past year, she resided at Jackson Oaks where she had many close friends.
She was the daughter of the late John and Bessie Arant Gordon. She was preceded by her husband, Henry Calvin Barefield; son Danny Barefield ; and grandson , Joey Barefield.
She is survived by her daughter in law Joyce Barefield of Paducah; Grandsons, Alan (Amy) Barefield of Starksville, Miss and Terry (Victoria) Barefield of Paducah; Great grandchildren, Chance Barefield of the U.S. Navy ,
Ashley(Brock) Reed of Paducah, Colby Barefield of Metropolis, Ill and Will and Alley Barefield of Starksville, Miss.. She is also blessed with two great great grandchildren, Brinna Barefield of Benton and Noah Reed of Paducah.
services will be Friday July 13,2012 at the chapel of Keeling Family Funeral Home. Tommy Williams will officiate.
