Margie J. Darst

Margie (Marge) J. Darst, 92, of Vallejo, passed away on Friday, Nov. 6, at home after a brief illness. Marge was born in West Virginia and moved to California in 1943.

Preceded in death by her husband, Charles (Doc) Darst; and son, Kevin Darst.

Survived by her daughter, Christine Darst of Reno, NV; grandson, Nicholas Darst of Vallejo; brother, Dan Goodwin of Salt Lake City, UT; nephews, Ben and Jack Goodwin of Salt Lake City, UT; and Rick "Hap" Cashman of Caldwell, ID.

Marge graduated from Cameron High School in West Virginia in 1940 before settling in California. She was employed by C&H Sugar; volunteered for Meals on Wheels; as well as a Candy Striper for Kaiser Permanente. Marge enjoyed travelling, spending many wonderful years camping with family and friends. She was an avid knitter and her Christmas stockings still hang in many homes today.

Per Marge's request there will be no service. Donations may be made in Marge's name to your local humane society.
