Smith, with whom she resided twenty years in Fairfield" "Sole survivor as sister of George W Goodnow, 264 Burnsford Avenue" "daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth [aka Libbie B] Goodnow, former Long Hill residents, and sister of Stuart B Goodnow who died last November." On Sept 11, 1951 "died in her home [in] Bayside Maine"... "services and burial will take place in that state".
Survivors are husband Eben P Bassett, daughters: Mrs. Alexander Weisker of 988 Fairfield Beach Rd, Fairfield, and Mrs. Raymond L. French, Jr., of 333 Rowland Road, Fairfield; and five grandchildren.
Cause of death and the above listed in Bridgeport [CT] Telegram, Sep 12 1951 was heart ailment of two years. In the same newspaper on Sep 13-14, it states Gesner Funeral Home of Belfast performed the arrangements, and burial was in Belfast ME.
In the Nov 4, 1950 Bridgeport [CT] Telegram obituary of brother Stuart B Goodnow, she is stated to be from Belfast, ME.
