The funeral for Glenna Faye Hogan Goode, age 67, of Tanner will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at the Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Mark Little and Charles Thompson, Minister of Tanner Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Nebo Cemetery.


Mrs. Goode was born December 11, 1943 in Elkmont, Alabama, to Mattie Lou and Howard Hogan.


Mrs. Goode was a member of the Tanner Church of Christ and was involved with young women prison ministry. She retired from J&J Oil Company in Athens.


She was preceded in death by her parents.


She is survived by her husband, Johnny Goode; two daughters, Kim Sharp and husband Mike Holman of Prospect, TN, and Pam Pressnell of Athens, AL; son, Keith Sharp of Athens and stepson, Jason Goode of Decatur; sister, Sandra Hogan Garris of Elkmont; brother, Hollis Hogan of Athens; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.


Pallbearers will be Garth Garris, Lesley Garris, Joel Hogan, Will Lewis, Jason Goode and Harold McKee.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Class of 1961, Elkmont High School.

She was a good mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She spoke softly and was very slow to anger. She loved her home, church family, children and her husband. She was a friend to all and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
