Dale F. Gonka, age 65, of Columbus, died Friday, May 22, 2015 at his home.
Dale was born October 24, 1949 in Columbus, Nebraska to Frank and Monica (Sliva) Gonka. He grew up in Columbus and graduated from Scotus Central High School in 1967. He then graduated from Northeast Community College. Dale was the co-founder and owner of Hometown Insurance Agency. On June 13, 1970, he married Susan German in Columbus. Dale served on the original board of directors when Quail Run was developed. He was past president of the Platte County Insurance Board and served on the Polish Invitational Golf Tournament committee for several years. He enjoyed Nebraska sports, playing golf, umpiring and coaching girls softball. Dale was an avid swimmer at the Aquatic Center. He loved spending time with his family.
