In Marlboro on April 8, 1906 a carriage containing Ernest Golbert and Miss Lillian Snow, both 21 years of age, was struck by a Boston & Worcester electric car near here late today. The man skull was fractured, and he will probably die, while Ms. Snow was practically unhurt. The horse was killed and the carriage demolished.

The accident occurred on the Southboro Road, about a mile and a half from the city. According to Motorman Rougea and Conductor D. H. Laughlin, the horse suddenly became frightened and jumped on the tracks.

Golbert was brought to the hospital here, where an operation was performed, but the physicians hold out no hope.
