Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, June 12th, 2012 at 10:30am at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Rogers, for Florentine Fladung, 92 who passed away on Sunday June 3rd at the Tyler Health Care Center. Private burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Mpls.
Florentine was born to William and Anna (Lenzen) Gohman on Sept. 21st 1919 in St. Augusta. On Oct. 31, 1944 she was united in marriage to Edward Fladung at the Army Post Chapel in Nashville, TN.
Over her lifetime Florentine worked many jobs in Minnesota and Oregon. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting, reading, gardening, bird watching and traveling. She had a deep love and compassion for all children and was devoted to her faith and the rosary.
Survivors include her six children and their spouses; Dick & Janice Fladung of Prineville, OR, Don & Deb Fladung of Louisville, KY, Beth & Michael Locatell of Seattle, WA, Bob & Jane Fladung of St. Michael, MN, Joyce & Caroll Friedricks of Tyler, MN, and Bill Fladung of Prineville OR, and 10 Grandchildren, and 19 Great Grandchildren.
Florentine was preceded in death by her parents; husband Edward, on July 22nd 1991; brothers, Peter, Herman, Math, Willard, and Edwin Gohman; Sisters, Elizabeth Bennett, Catherine Hinkemeyer, and Bernadine Malikowski.
