Monday afternoon at 4:00 o’clock at her home, no. 1818 Boone street, occurred the death of Mrs. Henrietta Doerder, a well-known and pioneer resident of the city. The end came after a sickness from bronchitis and brought to a close seventy six years of useful living. The family formerly resided on a farm six miles north of the city and was prominent in the county. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock from the house and 2:00 o’clock from the German Lutheran church conducted by the rev. Otto Erbe, her pastor. An obituary will be published next week.

The funeral of Mrs. William Doerder, whose death was announced in our last issue were held from the house Friday afternoon, her birthday, at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. Otto Erbe of the German Lutheran church, and from the church at 2:00 p.m. Burial was in Linwood Park cemetery. The pallbearers were John Ehman, Henry Joerns, John Eckhoff, Henry Grabau, John Lutjen and Sam Leininger. Mrs. Erbe sang a solo entitled “Over the Stars There is Rest".
Henrietta Frederike Goetsch was born April 10th, 1838 in Pomerania, Germany, where she lived until 1866 when she emigrated to Milwaukee, Wis. Two years later she came to Boone county and was married April 18, 1869 to John Adix. They moved to a farm six miles north of the city where they lived for nine years, at the end of which time the husband died. On May 26th, 1879 she was married to William Doerder here in Boone. Four years ago they moved to 1818 Boone street, where they have since lived. For many years she has been a sufferer with chronic bronchitis, and three weeks ago she was stricken with a fatal attack of the disease. Death came Monday afternoon at 4 o’clock. She was 75 years, 11 month and 26 days of age.
She leaves seven children, Charles and William Adix of Boone county; John Adix of Harrison county; Mrs. Kate Murken and Mrs. Joe Good of Boone county; Mrs. Pauline Koppenhaver of Jordan and Albert Doerder of Boone county. There are also are also seventeen grandchildren living.
