Daughter of Willie Lee and Mary Ann Christmas Godbold. Virginia married Bobby J. Calder on March 9, 1959.


CONWAY - Virginia Louise Calder "Buddy", 73, of Alford Road, died Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at her residence.

Mrs. Calder was born in Marion, a daughter of the late Willie L. and Mary Christmas Godbold. She was a member of Maple Baptist Church. Mrs. Calder was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Bennett.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Bobby J. Calder; one son, Alex W. Calder and wife Tammy; one daughter, Barbara Lynn Farnaby and husband Grant and his daughter, Kirstie, all of Conway; 3 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at Maple Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Howell and Rev. Gary Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
