Ida Bernice Gober Anders Andrews, 98, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2007 after a lengthy illness and injury from a fall. She was born in Plainview, Texas on Sept. 11, 1909 to Elmos Bird Gober and Hattie Ann Gifford Gober. She attended school in Dickens County until high school when she moved to Houston at age 16 to live with her aunt. After finishing high school in Houston, she attended Nursing School at M. D. Anderson Hospital. She spent her career as a Registered Nurse until she retired. Ida is preceded in death by her 1st husband Dick Anders; and her late husband Dr. T. A. Andrews. She is survived by her step-son Richard Anders; sister Jewell Warren of Lubbock; nieces, nephews, and friend Victor Flores.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at 10 a.m. with the funeral service beginning at 12 p.m. in the Family Chapel at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home with burial to follow.
