Funeral services for Mrs. Johnie Girmus, 28, were held Tuesday, February 20, 1979 at the United Methodist Church at Ithaca, NE with the Rev. Edwin G Morrison, Jr,. officiating.
Born April 21, 1950, Mrs. Girmus died Friday in a Lincoln Hospital.
The former Diane Meese, married Johnie Dale Girmus July 24, 1971, in Shickley. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Jason; daughters, Kristin and Tara, all at home in Ithaca; parents Gerry & Ruth Boswell, Shickley, grandmother, Mrs. Garnet Meese, Geneva; sister, Mrs. Leon (Nancy) Teetor, Ithaca; Patricia and Beth Boswell, both of Shickley; and brothers, Larry, Allen, and Kenneth Boswell, Shickley.
Assisting in the service was soloist Mrs. Marvin Hass with Mrs. Ron Treptow on guitar and Mrs. Kenneth Smith organist.
Casket bearers were: Alan Hanke, Merlin Fick, Marvin Hass, Ron Konzad, Larry Lamprecht and Roger Kimbrough. Interment was in Sunrise Cemetery at Wahoo with Ericson's - Hult Funeral Home in charge of arrangements - taken from the Wahoo Newspaper Feb 1979.
Diane was a registered nurse working at the Wahoo Community Hospital. She followed in her father's footsteps, Dr. David Meese. She is buried next to her father and grandparents.
