Daisy Jewel Fultz Gipson, 73, died unexpectedly at 10:37 PM Sunday, Jan. 31, 1993, in Lafayette Home Hospital, where she had been admitted several hours earlier. Born Oct. 22, 1919, at Tazewell, TN, she was a1937 graduate of Wea High School. She and Harry James Gipson were married June 22, 1941, in Lafayette. He survives and is retired from Purdue University, Railway Express, and Construction Products Corp.
Mrs. Gipson had spent most of her life in the Lafayette area. During World War II, she was a switchboard operator at General Telephone Company. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Joanne G. Rozzi of Nashville, IN, and Linda (Mrs. James) Anerson of Rensselaer; a son, Craig G. Gipson of Lafayette; a brother, Ralph Fultz; a sister, Kate (Mrs. Robert) Reppers, both of Dayton; and seven grandchildren. A brother, Avery Fultz, preceded in death.
