GILLIES, Yvonne Marie (nee Gingerich) - After bravely enduring ALS, Yvonne passed away peacefully on Friday, March 24th, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospice, with her husband and soulmate Deryl by her side. Cherished mother of Greg Sutherland, Jody Gillies (Alisha) and Kathy Heron (Richard). Mother-in-law of Karen Gillies. Dearly loved grandma to Evan, Madelyn, Jeannie, Matthew and grand dog Ace. Great-grandmother to Serenity. Very special sister to Ruth Martin (Maggie), Donna McClellan (Don), Pauline Ross (Harley), Keith Gingerich (Gary) and Susan Bice (David). Dear sister-in-law of Dave Gillies and Mary Whitmore. Fondly remembered and missed by several nieces, nephews, cousins and Aunts. Predeceased by her son Rick, brother-in-law Bryn and her parents Reuban and Fanny (Bender) Gingerich. Yvonne was born in Strathroy on October 7th, 1952. She was a valued employee for over 30 years with the Royal Bank. A Memorial Service to celebrate Yvonne's life will be held at Nairn Mennonite Church, 26459 Bear Creek Rd., Ailsa Craig on April 5th, 2017 at 12:00pm. Visitation will take place an hour prior to the service from 11:00am-12:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
