She was born Dec. 15, 1922 in Earl Park to the late Peter Gick and Mary Brettnacher Gick. She was also preceded in death by a son, Danny Smith, 7 brothers and 5 sisters. She married Jack Adwell on June 7, 1958 in Otterbein. He survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Ronnie Smith (wife: Pat) of Fayetteville, Tennessee, Brett Adwell (wife: Pam) of Greentown and Brian Adwell (companion: Carla) of Otterbein; a daughter, Cathy Jenkins (husband: Dave) of Lafayette; a brother, Eugene "Bud" Gick (wife: Bertie) of Monticello; 10 grandchildren and 6-great-grandchildren.
