John James Giandalia, son of James (Giacomo) Giandalia and Lucia C Contino Giandalia, is survived by Donna S Giandalia, his wife and 4 children: Cynthia L Giandalia, Cheryl L Giandalia, Connie L Giandalia and Joel E Giandalia. Also Surviving are 2 Grandchildren: Miranda L Degraffenried and Gianna M Giandalia and 2 Great Grandchildren: Dakota Lynn Degraffenried and Joseph Kuwami Degraffenried, who was adopted from Ghana Africa in November of 2010 and his sister Mary G Darrah. Preceding him in death are his brothers: Joseph L Giandalia, Leonard L Giandalia, Louis Thomas Giandalia and Leonard John Giandalia and he was followed by his sister Rose C Giandalia Randisi and is survived by his sister Mary G Darrah.

He was director of the bio-medical team at Truman Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. His death was followed by a long battle with diabetes. He was a wonderful father who raised his 3 daughters by himself. He married Donna Sue Weber on July 21, 1979 after his 3 girls were grown and adopted her son Joel. He had many friends and he was the hero of his 3 daughters. I will see him again someday, in heaven.
