Dorothy Mae (Geyer) Ansell, 81, of First Avenue, Scottdale, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, March 30, 2002, at her residence, with her family by her bedside. Dorothy was born in Connellsville, Sept. 9, 1920, a daughter of the late Garfield James Geyer and Irene Mildred Sleasman Geyer Schroyer. Dorothy married William Albert Ansell Sr. on Oct. 16, 1937. Dorothy was an accomplished seamstress working for many years with Connellsville Sportswear and the Norvelt Sewing Factory. She also was a former employee with Anchor Hocking Glass and a member of the Scottdale Church of Christ. Dorothy will be sadly missed by her loving and devoted family; her husband of 64 years, William Albert Ansell Sr.; her children, Nancy Lee Warburton and spouse, Jon William Warburton, of Milton, Pa., Dorothea June Lineberry and spouse, John Allen Lineberry Sr., of Aldie, Va., William Albert Ansell Jr. and spouse, Shawn Lynch Ansell, of Scottdale and Kevin Richard Ansell and spouse, Jodi Timm, of Mt. View, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter, Ella Renee Warburton; a sister, Mabel Ruth Herwick of Aldie, Va.; a sister-in-law, Ida Mae McCausland; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Keith Rodger Lineberry; and an infant great-granddaughter, Julian P. Warburton. Family and friends will be received at the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 Spring St., Scottdale, 724-887-5300, Tuesday from 1 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bob Chambers officiating.
