Moshe Gerstein 1976-2011 NEW YORK- Moshe Gerstein passed away on June 16th. He was a graduate of Heritage Academy and Longmeadow High School. He graduated magna cum laude in mathematics and computer science from Yale University, and graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School. Moshe worked for ten years as a corporate lawyer in New York City. Moshe leaves his beloved wife Jennifer Jackson, his parents, Dr. Alan and Bette Gerstein of Longmeadow, his brother and sister-in-law, Meir and Shimrit Gerstein of Brooklyn, his brother David, of Stratford, CT, and his in-laws, Yvette and Ronald Jackson of Pennsylvania. Moshe was a Hebraic scholar who often conducted services and read Torah at Congregation Rodphey Sholom in Holyoke. The funeral will be held on Friday, June 24th at 11AM at Ascher-Zimmerman Funeral Home, located at 44 Sumner Avenue, Springfield. Burial will follow at Kodimoh Cemetery in West Springfield. Donations may be made to Lincoln Square Synagogue, 200 Amsterdam Ave., New York, NY 10023, or Congregation Rodphey Sholom, 1800 Northampton St., Holyoke, MA, 01040.
