Charles Jacob Gerberich was born in Naperville, Illinois on November 22nd, 1870, and lived here until he was 14 years of age. At that time he made his home in Chicago and later in Oak Park, Illinois. As a boy he was a member of the Evangelical Sunday School of this city. At the beginning of this year he was taken sick and passed away peacefully at Oak Park on Sunday morning, September 11th, 1921, at the age of 49 years, 9 months and twenty days.
He leaves to cherish the memory of an honest and upright life, his companion, three children, Mrs. Fred Brown, Charles Frederick and Kenneth William, his father, Levi Gerberich, three sisters and two brothers, and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by his mother.
