Clarence R. Gerber, 90, of Kidron, died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, at Shady Lawn Health Care Community in Dalton, following a period of declining health.
He was born near Orrville, on Jan. 5, 1919, to Menno and Anna (Moser) Gerber and lived all of his life near Kidron.
He was a retired farmer and a member of Kidron Mennonite Church.
On June 6, 1967, he married Lydia Steiner. She died Sept. 7, 2005.
He is survived by two sisters, Pauline Badertscher of Goshen, Ind., and Iona Hofstetter of Wadsworth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Nola Gerber, Mabel Wanner and Goldie Lehman.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Kidron Mennonite Church with the Rev. Terry Shue officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
