Carol Rasmussen George, 96, of Salt Lake City passed away on January 19, 2015.

Carol was born in Fillmore, UT on July 28, 1918 to Ane Bair and William Rasmussen.

She married Rex Frank George in 1938.

Upon moving to Salt Lake City, Carol worked as the Dining Room Manager at Fort Douglas Country Club and was promoted to Social Director, a position she loved and held for many years until she retired with honors. Carol was an extreme animal lover and a proud member of The Humane Society, which honored her with an award for a lifetime of service and support.

She was known for taking in strays, both four-legged and two. She was a true humanitarian. At any given time, it was not unusual for her to offer love, advice and financial support to many of her employees, friends, and family.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. There were many members of her community who assisted her and she always referred to them as her "sweet angels". The family would like to thank all of them for their countless hours of service.

Carol is survived by her sister Ruth Crosland, two sons Bill George (Shirley), and Randall George (Shauna), and their families that include seven grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.

Celebration of Life for Carol will be held Saturday, January 23, 2015, 9:00 am at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy, (10600 So.), South Jordan, Utah. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
