Kent C. Geisler, 89 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at his residence.

He was born on Saturday, December 1, 1923 in Willshire, Ohio the son of the late John C. Geisler and the late Bessie M. (Spaulding) Geisler. He married Mildred L. Rogers on February 5, 1949 in Covington, Kentucky.

Kent was a graduate of Willshire High School and served his country in the United States Army during WWII in the European Theatre. He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Decatur; Cornel/Eureka Masonic Lodge in Ohio City, Ohio; and the American Legion Post #43 in Decatur. He was a past commander of the American Legion Post #43 of Decatur and the Homer Pierson American Legion Post in Willshire, Ohio.

He retired from Decorator Supply in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1987.

Survivors are his wife, Mildred L. Geisler of Decatur; daughter, Jacqueline (Monty) Cochran of Cummings, Georgia; granddaughter, Casey (Shawn) Snipes of Tallahassee, Florida; and great-granddaughter, Addison Snipes.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 9, 2013 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Rossman officiating. Interment will follow in the Willshire Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Friday, August 9 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur.
